Hare Krishna!

Hello and welcome; Thanks for stopping by.

My name is Mrinal Sarkar.

Personally, I consider myself a Yoga student, Spiritual seeker, Lifelong learner.

Professionally, I am an experienced software manager and social activist.

I consider myself a Risk taker, Challenge seeker, Quick learner, Speaker/Writer/Story teller, Photographer, amateur Guitarist, devotional singer and above all a sincere devotee of Sri Krishna.

I was born in Shillong, a beautiful hill town in northeast India in fall of 1976.

After spending 27 years there and after my Post graduate level University education plus five years of work experience, in 2005, I was invited by a software company to come, live and work in USA. Since then I have lived in the US.

Currently, in order to manage my work and life priorities well, I split my time between Silicon Valley, California and India.

As I hinted above, I’m passionate about Learning and Growing as a person. Fortunately for me, I was born in India which has a vast and rich Spiritual wealth based on the search for Truth -- The ultimate Truth -- through age-old quests by seekers on the subjects like what is God, what lies beyond the material body, why are we here, why we exist, and above all what is the real goal of human life?

In particular,  through life experiences I came to study and practice the teachings of  The Bhagavad Gita ('The Song of the Lord'  in Sanskrit, India's classical language). The Bhagavad Gita (or simply Gita) is the Crown jewel and summary of all Indian Scriptures. Gita is a compilation of a dialog between Sri Krishna and his foremost disciple (Arjuna) in the battlefield of Kurukshetra War in the historical epic Mahabharata. Gita is a wonderful source of wisdom and helps us understand what the real aim of human life is and how we can achieve it.

Personally for me, learning the Gita and practicing it in every walk of my life has been a fascinating journey. And I was inspired to capture my thoughts and experiences and spread them around in the hope that others may benefit similarly. That is the genesis of the Idea behind these pages. As such these pages will alway be a work in progress..

Well, I hope you find my ideas and experiences of good use and if they are something you like and agree with, then please spread them around in your own capacity by sharing with your friends, family, social network, etc;

Also, if you wish to write to me, feel free to leave a message for me below. I try to reply all messages as soon as I can.

Again, Thank you for stopping by!
