Do something unusual but if you do it with enthusiasm it would be contagious & successful
Being a servant of Krishna is more imp that any other material profession

The Yagya ceremony at initiation is mere formality; real initiation takes place in the heart
Krishna Consciousness is not a cult because its a Vedic system passed down from Krishna himself through disciples and not something someone concocted on his own..to get blind followers
Srila Prabhupada walked like a noble — with purpose and grace
The Panchatattva mantra is more powerful than mahamantra but we chant mahamantra because Lord Chaitanya said so
Western mind is very prone to deviation

The Vedic culture is more in tact in South India; Prabhupad’s movement was to spread the Vedic culture
Why do we follow reg principles?

The Mayavadi & Vaishnavas follow the same Vedic culture but they differ in interpretations of Vedanta
Better to worship demigod than western religions because by former you get ‘gradual elevation’ & but in the latter the notion meateater relgns supreme.
Srila Prabhupada's presence is there in his books and our Japa and its not just about his physical presence

Sruta Kirti Das

Literal meaning of Sruta Kirti Das = World famous servant
Prabhupad could be child like (not childish), matter of fact, innocent
Prabhupad observed that when a disciple does quick, hasty obeisance = not bowing = beginning of falldown
Reading his own Bhagavad Gita as it is translation, he remarked "You just have to read this book and you'll be Krishna conscious..no need to read hundreds of books"
(6months later, he remarked the same about his book titled Nectar of devotion then 2 yrs later he said the same about the Krsna book)

TV interview:

Religion means to understand God

Religion means God concsiouness..w/o God consciouness there is no religion

Chanting means to keep association with God (like radio with radio station)

Faiith is greater than belief
Faith is trust in the sublime, in the philosophy whereas belief is more emotional

Be attentive in chanting — the greater will be the effect and faster the cleansing of the heart
Just do your devotional service to Krishna sincerely, all criticism will fall off
My books are sold because of the enthusiasm of my disciples; in the bookstore noone is enthusiastic
You cannot satisfy all of the people all of the time
No need for a ‘Vedic research Institute’ to get tax benefits — Vyasdev has already done all the research

Distributing books how-to:
- “My dear sir, you seem very intel..Please stop all your nonsense material activities and read this book”
also offer prasadam
- Q-Why no meat is a good thing?
- A- Because the animal to be slaughtered feels fear & chemicals are released in blood that affects the eater.
Chanting loudly is good..everything is revealed through chanting.

Srila Prabhupad wanted to establish varna ashram in ISKCON because this would demonstrate to society at large (ie beyond temple) to live in Krishna Consciousness.
