These DVDs are a series of interviews with the direct disciples of Srila Prabhupada reminiscing about him)

The credits of creating the videos are with their producers, my part is only in distilling chosen words of Prabhupada from them that I found notable.

DVD #80:

 

To Bhagavan das:

 

  • Attention to detail means you care

  • Whatever you focus on, that ends up manifesting

  • Krishna Consciousness is simple for the simple and complicated for the crooked

  • The dream of a powerful person is the subtle form of its manifestation

  • Behind everything is a superior intelligence

  • Failure of (organized) religion is that it dwells on the differences, not on the similarities

  • when the heart gets hurt it cannot think philosophically

  • A Guru is the living Truth (shows the Truth of God)

  • You dont always get to judge your success by always if you complete the task but how you try with the right intent

(for instance SP didnt get to finish 10th canto of Bhagvatam; he didnt get to see Juhu temple inaugurated)

  • You dont get to be 100% peaceful here, Krishna is going to test you

  • You could at every moment see that Prabhupad is with Krishna, you could touch him and Krishna would come out..full!

To French devotees:

  • Spiritual energy of pure devotees shows up as effulgence of their material body

  • When you dream of me, I am actually there

  • Q - When you chant, what should you think? 

  • A - Just hear the sound without distractions

  • Its not a question of how long have you been chanting, but ‘how’ you have been chanting?

  • SP said  he manifests through his books

  • For the youth SP said - work now, samadhi later

  • SP went to Puri twice (per himself) once at age 20 and one time with his disciples but because the disciples were refused entry, he refused to enter the temple too..this is a good example of Prabhupad's compassion

  • The song "Jaya Radha Madhav" was written by Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur and SP would always sing it before speaking and go into trance

  • Krishna Consciousness is a very serious thing..its not a plaything..but its simple for the simple, difficult for the crooked

DVD #82:

  • SP once quoted his Gurudev Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupad saying:

"Dont try to see Krishna, act in such a way that Krishna will want to see you"

  • By accepting a spiritual master you become deathless - you just close your eyes & open (it big) to see you are with Krishna

  • Your most difficult spiritual experiences are much better than happiness in material world

DVD #83:

​

  • The Krsna book has pastimes of Krishna from 10th canto

  • SP taught through his life that you should not waste anything

  • Krishna opens the doors for you

  • When you invite Krishna, you cannot close that place or temple; where there is Krishna, people will come..so let them come..

  • We are a culture not a cult (we follow a parampara or tradition and lineage of acharyas not blindly follow a so called guru without parampara)

  • Maintaining the household by preaching — that is the perfection of householder life

  • Wedding garlands can be made with offered flowers
